Young Samurai: The Way of The Warrior (Emmett Foxe)

Dear Journal,

            Jack here.  I’m having a horrible time on this boat.  Of course I love the feel of adventure and bravery, but it is very bad.  People are dieing.  Also, I see a great storm that looks as if it could explode with the force of a nuclear bomb any moment on the horizon.  We are in for a hard day today apparently!

Dear Journal,

            The storm broke yesterday.  It gave me a run for my money!  It was so cold and giant that it felt as if the rain was ravaging our ship.  I actually nearly died.  I was climbing the rigging when I was nearly blown into the stormy sea.  It was the scariest thing I had ever beheld in my life.

Dear Journal,

            It has been a long time since I have written to you.  Since the last time many things have happened.  For example,  my…my father died.  Also, I now live in Japan and am training to be a samurai.  I am learning the Japanese language and etiquette also.  Believe or not, but the etiquette is even harder than the language!  It feels impossible to learn everything at once.
