A Long Way Gone memoirs of a boy soldiers by- Ishmael Beah

A Long Way Gone is a very emotinal book. Its about a boy soldier who has to go throuh trainin kill people and other stuff. He hates it and doesnt want t do it. It is very hard Some of the boys get killed in battle or killed and have their hands cut off by the leader. It was a tough rode for him. This book was really good though. It was very diverse and stood out mre than any other book. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this a 9. This book did not digress on topic at all. This book stayed on point and explained everything that needed to be explained. this i not a rudiment book this is more of a complex book. This goes more in depth to children in Africa who become soldiers in their countries armys. This is a really great book. I reccmend everyone to get it and read it.
A Long Way Gone is about a kid at the age of 12 named Ishmael Beah and fought rebels and wandered with his litlle brother. They were poor. They didnt have a mom to take care of them. They were out there alone. At the age of 16 Ishmael was picked by his goverment to fight. After a few years Ishmael went to a rehibilitation center and learned to forgive himself. He was born in a world of violence and hatred, he had no love or anyhing. But he takes the time out and askes this to himself. Why did I do this? Why did I do this to people? There are many twists and turns in this book and very dramatic scenes. I recommend this to anyone, this is a great book. Go out and get it ths is a really great book!

  1. Mamadou, This was really great and I like how you showed how I should get the book. I like how you said what he asks himself.

  2. From maiyaa again,
One thing I have to say is that you weren't supposed to summarize the book. You were supposed to explain one of the book report ideas. But good job
