"The Outsiders" is a good book because it's a realistic fiction. It's about a boy in a gang, named Ponyboy, and he has a rival gang called "The Socs". His life is a living drama. He ran away from home, then came back and had to fight in a brawl against the other gang. His two best friends Dally and Johnny died. Dally was shot by the police and Johnny died because he cracked his spine. After they died, Ponyboy became a totally different person. He learned a lesson and then decided to put school first.
I would recommend this book to someone becaus eit teaches a valuable lesson. It teaches you to put family and education before yourself. I would recommend this book to anyone in a gang so they learn a lesson. Ponyboy went through what a lot of people in gangs must be feeling. If someone in a gang read this, they would have changed their minds about being in a gang. To me, this book is one of my favorites.
